Tribute
Clinton [McClinton] Hatton's genealogy has been researched by one of our researchers, Beatrice Noble, with the help of notes from Clint and Ernest. Apparently he is a direct descendent of George W. Hatton who fought in the Civil War for the Union Forces and mentioned in various documents,
Clint has a wonderful heritage that goes back to the 1800s. During all this period the family, and cousins, were Oystermen. Later Clint's father served in the Army of the United States.
We believe that Clint's family will connect with others we have tested, An area called Hatton's Point was settled in 1613 by John Hatton.

The Oystermen of Virginia near the Elizabeth and James Rivers. This is a tribute to them from Hannibal Square, A few years ago a large plaque was erected that told their story. Two of the descendants were still living in the area, Clinton Hatton of our Site is a descendent.
